Actualización de la lista de cartas prohibidas y lista de combinaciones prohibidas de Paradox – Septiembre 2025

¡Hola, Rulers!

Como ya avisamos hace unas semanas, después de ver los resultados de los últimos eventos de la temporada, celebrados en Europa, hemos valorado si hacer o no hacer algún ajuste a la Banned list de Paradox de cara al WGP 2025.

Visto el éxito de los rulers del Evil Cluster en los torneos, y la amplia variedad de mazos jugados en los mismos, consideramos que el estado de Paradox es bastante sano.

Matelda y Valgott han sido los rulers más predominantes de los dos eventos. Ambos emplean estrategias muy interesantes y diversas, pues si bien todas las versiones de Matelda se basan en resonadores, unas abogan más por los Knight resonators, otras por resonadores poderosos de coste elevado, y otras por centrarse en los Warden para ganar la partida. Valgott, sin embargo, es un mazo de pérdida de vidas, pero usa muchas cartas nunca vistas antes en el ámbito de lo competitivo. Si bien la final del primero de los dos eventos fue Matelda vs Valgott (casualmente, un enfrentamiento que bien podría formar parte del lore de Force of Will), sin embargo, ¡fue Nero el vencedor del ultimo GP de la temporada, enfrentándose a Matelda en la final!

Por lo tanto, no consideramos necesario aplicar ninguna prohibición severa a los mazos. Por otro lado, hemos estudiado a fondo las listas de los Top8 de ambos eventos, y consideramos necesario añadir dos combinaciones prohibidas a la lista, esperando que así, la diferencia de cantidades de mazos jugados en estos eventos y en el WGP varía un poco.

Por último, también hemos escuchado vuestra opinión de las nuevas cartas de ATD. Vamos a aplicar unos cambios mínimos a las cuatro cartas de ATD de las que más habéis opinado en las redes sociales. Cambios que, también anunciaremos en este mismo documento, y serán efectivos de inmediato.

Confiamos en que el metagame del WGP 2025 sea tan variado, divertido y creativo como han sido los de todos los eventos de esta temporada.

Hemos visto jugar en los mazos de Valgott muchos resonadores Demon diferentes que nunca se han jugado competitivamente antes, como Demon Bet Collector y Demon of the Crimson Moon, entre otros. Pensamos en reducir el nivel de poder del mazo aplicando alguna combinación prohibida a estas cartas, pero, en vez de eso, hemos decidido que, si bien la estrategia es poderosa, exige agotar todas nuestras piedras mágicas turno tras turno, dejándonos desprotegidos, siendo una estrategia de High Risk, High Reward. Pero tener una carta que puede lidiar con los resonadores del oponente incluso sin tener voluntad para pagarla, siendo Valgott un mazo que roba muchas cartas, nos parece que es demasiado poderoso, teniendo en cuenta todas las demás interacciones del mazo. Hay muchas, muchisimas, variantes de mazo con Matelda como ruler. Algunas se centran en resonadores poderosos, otras en resonadores pequeños, otras completamente en Knight resoantors, otras en Wardens. Pero todas tienen en común una cosa: el poderosísimo [Judgment] de Matelda. Como para reducir el poder del mazo tendríamos o bien que haber eliminado una de sus cartas centrales importantes, dañándolo demasiado, o bien reducir la efectividad del [Judgment], hemos decidido optar por esta segunda opción. Ahora, aunque el [Judgment] de Matelda sea poderosísimo, habrá que pagarlo en su totalidad, sin piedras que se preparen para hacer jugadas más largas. With this in mind, we've decided to add these two cards to the Combination Banned list.

ATD UPDATES

Después de haber estado analizando las cartas en profundidad y escuchando los comentarios de la comunidad en las redes sociales, hemos decidido reducir sensiblemente el poder de las cartas más llamativas de ATD. Ahora son más acorde a sus efectos, y si bien siguen siendo igual de poderosas, están más ajustadas al nivel de poder de las demás. El nuevo texto de estas cartas se aplica de efecto inmediato (las cartas del WGP 2025 tendrán impreso este texto).
